There was a series of colour shots taken indoors one afternoon. David had just got up. The back cover of the 1972 ‘Space Oddity’ reissue was taken in his son’s pink bedroom. Some of them include David holding the original Hunky Dory cover artwork.’ – Mick Rock

Portraits taken at Bowie’s home, Haddon Hall. Bowie recalled, ‘I think the first real photo session with Mick was at Haddon Hall… We had the entire ground floor. I remember a long period of spray painting all the ceilings silver and getting incredibly high on the fumes.’
