On the 3rd of July, 1965, ‘The Summer Spectacular’ at the Hollywood Bowl featured headline appearances by The Byrds, The Kinks, Sonny & Cher, The Righteous Brothers, and more. But it was The Beach Boys, returning for their first hometown show in nearly a year, who truly brought down the house. Their electrifying performance was captured by renowned Los Angeles photographer Julian Wasser for Life magazine.
